A filter-kit enquiry should identify the tractor and the items required for a particular service plan. A broad kit name can conceal differences in included parts. Start with the applicable manual and the machine’s records, then ask the supplier to confirm each reference.
Describe the service requirement
Record the full tractor model and variant, relevant identification and the service work being planned by the responsible technician. Use the correct maintenance information to establish what is required. Do not copy a universal service interval or fluid specification from an unrelated model.
If existing components carry readable references, record them and explain their source. A previously fitted item may itself need verification, particularly where the machine’s history is uncertain.
Request an itemised kit description
- Each included component and confirmed part reference.
- Quantity supplied for each item.
- Tractor configurations covered by the offer.
- Items required for the planned work but excluded from the kit.
- Current availability and any reference changes to clarify.
This makes it possible to compare a complete kit with an offer containing only some of the required items. Avoid treating the package name as a technical compatibility statement.
Reconcile before the service
Check the received descriptions and references against the confirmed request. Refer uncertainties to the supplier or qualified technician before fitting the items. Keep the final record with the service entry for that tractor.
For example, two offers labelled as service kits may contain different numbers of components. The itemised list reveals the difference without assuming that either package is complete for your machine. This checklist organises the enquiry; maintenance decisions and installation must follow the applicable instructions and qualified advice.
